Production leap at Behin Pardazan; 100% increase in DTBP production capacity relying on domestic power

Behin Pardazan Polymer and Chemical Industries Company, as the first and only producer of ditertiary butyl peroxide (DTBP) in the West Asian region, succeeded in increasing the production capacity of this strategic product by 100%. This success was achieved by relying on the knowledge and efforts of domestic experts and using domestically produced raw materials; an action that demonstrates national self-sufficiency and capability in producing one of the most important chemicals needed by the polymer industry.

DTBP is one of the strategic organic peroxides in the polymer and chemical industries, which has a wide range of applications due to its special properties. This material is used as an initiator of radical reactions in various processes and plays a key role in the production of cross-linked polyethylenes, improving the mechanical and thermal properties of polymers, and in chemical syntheses. The most important advantage of DTBP is the ability to create uniform cross-links in polymers, which leads to increased durability, thermal resistance, and quality of final products.

Doubling the production capacity of this product at Behin Pardazan, while ensuring the needs of the country’s downstream industries, has provided new opportunities for the development of exports and a stronger presence of Iran in regional and international markets. This achievement not only helps to improve Behin Pardazan’s position in the polymer industry value chain, but is also an important step towards the country’s self-sufficiency, reducing dependence on imports, and developing a knowledge-based economy.

Relying on expert human resources, technological infrastructure, and utilizing domestic capacities, Behin Pardazan Company continues to move forward on the path of development and innovation, and with this remarkable success, it has established its position as one of the key players in the chemical and polymer industry in the region.
