Malzeme akma noktas\u0131na ula\u015ft\u0131\u011f\u0131nda, kal\u0131c\u0131 deformasyon b\u00f6lgesine girer. Bu noktaya kar\u015f\u0131l\u0131k gelen gerilme ve deformasyona s\u0131ras\u0131yla akma dayan\u0131m\u0131 ve akma an\u0131ndaki uzama denir. Akma noktas\u0131n\u0131n \u00f6tesinde, malzeme \u00f6nemli \u00f6l\u00e7\u00fcde uzar ve geni\u015fler ve bu b\u00f6lgeye plastik b\u00f6lge denir. Numunenin daha fazla uzamas\u0131 ve gerilmesi, gerinim sertle\u015fmesi olgusuna yol a\u00e7ar. Bu b\u00f6lgede, polimer zincirleri \u00f6nce elastikiyetlerini kaybeder (akma) ve ard\u0131ndan numune bir b\u00f6lgede enine b\u00fcz\u00fclme ve boyuna gerilmeye u\u011frar ve boyun benzeri bir \u015fekil al\u0131r, buna boyun daralmas\u0131 denir. Boyun daralmas\u0131 olgusu, zincirlerin deformasyonu hizalanana kadar ilerler. Plastik b\u00f6lgede, zincirlerin gerilme y\u00f6n\u00fcnde y\u00f6nlenmesi nedeniyle numunenin dayan\u0131m\u0131 artar. Bu de\u011fer, numunenin dayanabilece\u011fi en y\u00fcksek gerilmedir. K\u0131r\u0131lma noktas\u0131na kar\u015f\u0131l\u0131k gelen deformasyona ise kopma uzamas\u0131 denir.  <br\/>Polimerik bir malzemenin gerilme-gerinim davran\u0131\u015f\u0131, polimerlerin molek\u00fcler ve mikro yap\u0131sal \u00f6zelliklerine ba\u011fl\u0131d\u0131r. Polimerler, \u00f6zellikle farkl\u0131 gerilme seviyelerinde belirli polimer etkile\u015fimleri de\u011fi\u015febildi\u011finden, \u00e7ok farkl\u0131 gerilme-gerinim davran\u0131\u015flar\u0131na sahip olabilirler. \u015eekil 5, farkl\u0131 polimer gruplar\u0131 i\u00e7in elde edilen gerilme-gerinim ili\u015fkilerinin t\u00fcrlerini g\u00f6stermektedir.  <\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/behinpolymerco.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/tensile-test-5.png\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">\u015eekil 5. Polistiren (PS) bu polimerlerden biridir. <br\/>Buna kar\u015f\u0131l\u0131k, son grafik, hem d\u00fc\u015f\u00fck Young mod\u00fcl\u00fc de\u011ferlerine sahip olan hem de kopmadan \u00f6nce b\u00fcy\u00fck miktarda geri d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015f\u00fcml\u00fc \u00e7ekme gerilimine dayanabilen, elastomer ad\u0131 verilen kau\u00e7uksu polimer grubunun mekanik davran\u0131\u015f\u0131n\u0131 g\u00f6stermektedir.<br\/>\u0130kinci e\u011fri, polimetil metakrilat (PMMA) gibi yar\u0131 s\u00fcnek malzemeler i\u00e7indir ve son olarak \u00fc\u00e7\u00fcnc\u00fc e\u011fri, mod\u00fcl\u00fc sert ve yar\u0131 s\u00fcnek malzemelerden daha d\u00fc\u015f\u00fck olan, ancak bu malzemelerin grafi\u011finin alt\u0131ndaki alan di\u011fer gruplarla kar\u015f\u0131la\u015ft\u0131r\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131nda tokluklar\u0131 daha y\u00fcksek olan ve k\u0131r\u0131lma noktas\u0131na ula\u015fana kadar daha fazla enerjiye dayanabilen s\u00fcnek malzemeler i\u00e7indir. Mekanik \u00f6zellikleri anlamak ve incelemek, polimer \u00fcr\u00fcnlerinin \u00fcretiminde en \u00f6nemli unsurlardan biridir ve termal, optik ve reolojik \u00f6zellikler gibi di\u011fer \u00f6zelliklerden daha \u00e7ok, \u00fcreticiye malzemeleri kar\u015f\u0131la\u015ft\u0131rma ve kalitelerini kontrol etme olana\u011f\u0131 sa\u011flayarak \u00fcretilen \u00fcr\u00fcn\u00fcn \u00f6zelliklerini iyile\u015ftirmeye yard\u0131mc\u0131 olur. Mekanik \u00f6zellikleri belirlemek i\u00e7in \u00e7ekme testi kullan\u0131l\u0131r.
